Sleep With a Ghost At A BnBFinder Inn

Haunted BnBFinder Inns offer more than just Breakfast this Halloween Season

Part of the charm of an old home is the story that goes along with it. Sometimes that story is about the history that happened outside its doors, sometimes that story is about the way in which it was constructed and sometimes that story is about its residents, many come and go, but some never leave!
At a number of BnBFinder Inns (www.bnbfinder.com) you'll experience more than just personalized service and gourmet breakfasts; you'll enjoy a serving of spine-chilling noises that will give even the toughest paranormal enthusiasts the creeps.

St. Francis Inn (www.BnBFinder.com/StFrancisInn)
No roommate needed if you decide to stay in "Lily's Room" at the St. Francis Inn in St. Augustine, FL. As a servant at the inn during the mid-19th century, she and her masters son carried on a secret affair. Once discovered, Lily was released from her duties causing the nephew, who was told to never see her again, to take his life. Still searching for her lost love, guests have reported makeup bags being filled with water, mysterious figures dressed in white roaming the halls, unexplained noises and chilling touches in the room.

Burn Brae Mansion (www.BnBFinder.com/BurnBraeMansion)
Ghost hunters are stunned by the amount of paranormal activity found at this Catskill woodland retreat. Guests and innkeepers report hearing voices, feeling swift movements, witness objects moving or experiencing extreme temperature changes. So haunted, this inn has been featured on numerous ghost-hunting shows including A&E’s Paranormal State and Sci-Fi’s Ghost Detectives.

Old Stagecoach Inn (www.BnBFinder.com/OldStageCoach)
As one of the oldest B&Bs in the town of Waterbury, VT, this historic home is still watched over by one of its former owners. After tales of strange occurrences and a series of 'happenings', a local ghost hunter confirmed that there was an otherworldly presence residing at the Old Stagecoach Inn, especially in Room 2. The staff at the inn continues to encounter strange occurrences including a rocking chair suddenly beginning to rock in an agitated manner or the beds being stripped of their linen then left folded neatly on the edge of the bed when no one is around.

Houmas House Plantation and Gardens (www.BnBFinder.com/HoumasHouse)
Located between Baton Rouge and New Orleans on the historic River Road is the Houmas House Plantation and Gardens. Known as "The Crown Jewel of Louisiana's River Road," the Houmas House is one of the south's oldest and most opulent estates. When renovations began on the plantation in 2003, it is believed that the construction disturbed the spirit of a young girl between the ages of 7 - 10. Guests frequently report sightings of the mysterious girl wearing a blue dress and standing on the staircase. Spotted in the mornings or late afternoon the girl is believed to be one of the daughters of the late 18th century owners.

Featherbed Railroad Bed and Breakfast Resort (www.BnBFinder.com/FeatherbedRR)
Located in Nice, CA, the Featherbed Railroad is a uniquely themed B&B that features nine individual railroad cabooses. These cabooses were once used to carry people and cargo across the U.S. and now carry the legend of being haunted. Once a part of the Southern Pacific rail line, the Celebration caboose is frequented by a man in striped pajamas that sits on the bed.

Prospect Hill Bed and Breakfast (www.BnBFinder.com/ProspectHill
The original owners of this 1889 B&B still enjoy their innkeeper duties, even in their afterlife. Sightings of a man in old military clothing are frequently reported. The man is believed to be Union Army veteran Joseph Wagner, the builder of the Victorian home. Guests who stay at this Mountain City, Tennessee inn are awoken by the smell of fresh baked peanut butter cookies and muffins that some say the previous innkeepers used to bake. The smell of spilled bourbon and rose scented perfume have also been known to fill the rooms at random times of the day.
