Tsunami warning in Auckland after massive earthquake

Stay off beaches and shore areas. Do not go sightseeing. This is the message by New Zealand civil defense after they issued a tsunami warning. Luckily, the time is 4:37 am in New Zealand.
The tsunami warning was lifted for the Upper South Island. The warning remains in place for the East Coast of North Island.
Sirens were sounding in Auckland, New Zealand. Authorities warned the population about tsunami activities. The alert is expected to continue for several hours in New Zealand after a 7.1 magnitude earthquake off New Zealand's East Cape.
The earthquake was felt all the way in Wellington.
Location of the quake was 66km NE of Gisborne, New Zealand.
The earthquake hit at 1637 UTC time or 4:37 am in the morning in New Zealand.
Since the earthquake was far away from the coast, it's not expected to cause major damage or injuries.
