Amtrak Announces National 3-Day Sale For Seniors, April 17th-19th.

Book now to save an additional 10 percent from standard senior discount

WASHINGTON – Amtrak has announced a special offer for customers who qualify for a senior rate (65 and older). With this offer, customers will save an additional 10 percent off their standard 10 percent discount fare that they receive throughout the year. Just in time to travel to their favorite destinations prior to the summer rush, the discount is valid for travel from Tuesday, May 1 to Wednesday, June 27 with no blackout dates. The sale runs exclusively on Amtrak.com for booking between Tuesday, April 17 and Thursday, April 19.

They can also enjoy large spacious seats, no middle seats, ample legroom, the freedom to move around, Wi-Fi on most train services and a generous baggage policy. One child, age 2-12, may accompany each adult at half the typical adult fee. Space is limited, and prices are not available on all trains at all times. Advance reservations are required a minimum of 14 days prior to travel, including unreserved service. Other restrictions apply. The National Spring Sale is valid only for coach seats, and upgrades to business class or sleeper upgrades are not included. Once travel has begun, no changes to the itinerary are allowed.
