TRAVELORE DESTINATION REPORT: MGM National Harbor, A Casino Resort That Exceeds Expectations. #MgmNatlHarbor

A recent weekend weekend at the MGM Grand Harbor demonstrated how small details can make the difference when vacationing including how key cards are presented at check-in with two hands with thumbs up respectful of Asian tradition and the pristine ingredients in the perfectly cooked meals at their featured restaurants.  This outstanding resort is located on the banks of the Potomac just outside of Washington DC.

The spa and Salon is outstanding. If seeking something a little different we recommend the Double Your Pleasure four handed massage. Also recommended is the Skin Booster men's facial. Your therapist will also make recommendations for add-ons specific to your needs. A custom blended eye mask was a great addition to our facial. When scheduling your treatments make sure you take the time to enjoy the Roman bath, steam room, sauna and a vitamin c infused shower. Complementary juice, infused water, champagne and mimosas are also available.

The food at all the featured restaurants is exceptional enough for us to recommend people from nearby Washington, DC. to make the trip many times over. Typically in our experiences celebrity restaurants tend to be lacking in quality when the 'chef' is absent, not at Fish by Jose Andres and at Voltaggio Brothers Steakhouse where everything was outstanding. Pictured (left to right) Drunken Seafood Noodles at Ginger, the fresh from the water Seafood Tower from Voltaggio Brothers, melt-in-your mouth American Wagyu flank steak from Voltaggio Brothers, room service breakfast, Soft Shell Crabs from Fish, and Seared Scallops with smoked pea puree and pickled carrots from Fish.

Our exceptionally comfortable corner suite included an additional separate sitting area suitable for entertaining and business needs, all natural bathroom amenities, plush robes, and 2 large screen televisions. Extras including a 'quiet night' relaxing balm presented with turn-down service are nice touches.
