Travelore News: Chase Planning A Massive Chase Sapphire Lounge By The Club At Seattle-Tacoma International Airport

Travelers flying out of the Pacific Northwest have something major to look forward to. Chase is making a substantial play at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) with plans to open a sprawling, 16,000-square-foot Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club.

According to details recently revealed, the Port of Seattle commissioners are scheduled to review and vote on a 15-year lease for the new lounge on September 22, 2026. This ambitious project represents a massive $70 million investment by Chase, covering both the initial build-out and a future midterm refurbishment, and is set to become one of the largest lounges in their rapidly expanding network.

Location and The "Lounge Shuffle"

Finding 16,000 square feet of available real estate in a bustling airport like SEA is no easy feat. To make this happen, the airport is undergoing a bit of a "lounge musical chairs":

  1. United Airlines is moving its operations and its United Club to Concourse B.
  2. The current The Club at SEA (located in Concourse A) will relocate into the newly vacated United Club space.
  3. Finally, Chase will take over the former The Club footprint at Concourse A, combining it with an adjacent expansion space to create the massive new Sapphire Lounge.

Once completed, the lounge will be situated near Gate A11, right next to Delta Air Lines' growing lounge complex (which includes a premium Delta One Lounge). While this places it squarely in a premium international travel zone, passengers departing from other concourses should prepare for a bit of a trek or train ride to reach it.

What to Expect

While renderings submitted to the Port of Seattle showcase a completely purpose-built space rather than a basic refurbishment, an official opening date has not yet been announced. The lounge will feature multiple seating environments, a full bar, freshly prepared dining areas, work-oriented spaces, and quiet zones for travelers looking to recharge.

How to Access the Lounge

When the doors finally open, access rules will mirror the rest of the US network:

  • Complimentary Access: Primary cardholders and authorized users of the Chase Sapphire Reserve, J.P. Morgan Reserve, and The Ritz-Carlton Credit Card get free entry along with up to two guests (when presenting their physical card or Chase-issued digital Priority Pass Select membership and a same-day boarding pass). Additional guests are $27 per person.
  • Other Priority Pass Members: Non-Chase Priority Pass members are granted one complimentary visit per calendar year across the entire Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club network in the US. Subsequent visits will cost $75 per person.

This upcoming addition gives Chase a highly anticipated premium footprint on the West Coast, rounding out an impressive portfolio that already includes locations in Boston, New York (JFK and LGA), and Washington Dulles, with more on the way in Los Angeles and Miami.
