"Being listed alongside some of the most respected museums in the South is a tremendous honor,"
says National Quilt Museum CEO Frank Bennett. "Today's quilters are exceptionally gifted artists
and we look forward to introducing millions more people to their work."

Over 110,000 people per year experience National Quilt Museum in-facility and travelling exhibits.
The museum is a global destination, annually hosting visitors from all 50 US States and over 45
countries worldwide.  The museum is a four time TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence winner with
visitor review scores among the top 10% of attractions worldwide.  Paducah, Kentucky is a
 UNESCO Creative City.

The description of the National Quilt Museum in Southern Living emphasizes how everyone can
appreciate the artistry on display.  "When people visit it changes their perception of what quilters
can do.  They come to understand that quilting is an art form.  Often men do not think they are
going to enjoy it, but once they enter the galleries they become raving fans," Bennett explains.
The National Quilt Museum's mission is to bring the work of today's quilter to new and expanding
audiences worldwide.  The museum is open year-round 10am to 5pm Monday through Saturday.
It is also open Sundays 1am to 5pm March through November.  Get more information
