What Show Should I See in Vegas? Here Are Travel Zoo's Picks, by Price

As our Las Vegas entertainment Deal Expert, the question I’m most commonly asked is, naturally, “What show should I see in Vegas?”

It’s a fair question. There are — quite literally — hundreds of live entertainment options to choose from. The second you land at McCarran, you’re bombarded with show advertisements, which follow you into the taxi cab, on billboards on your way to The Strip all the way into your hotel room. You likely have time to see one, maybe two, shows during your trip. How do you decide?

Ask yourself this simple question: “How much do you want to spend?”

Under $20

If your answer is “not much,” you’ve still got a ton of choices.

For couples, I recommend checking out “Defending the Caveman” downtown at The D for just $17.50. The show’s a long-running, sitcom-comedy-esque look at couplehood.

If you don’t want to spend much because you’ve got the entire family to pay for, our most popular option is“Nathan Burton Comedy Magic” at just $10 per ticket (and no fees!). It’s located inside the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood and plays daily at the kid-friendly time of 4 p.m.

$20-$40

At this price range, you can get great seats at some purely Vegas shows — my recommendations include the popular drag show “Frank Marino’s Divas Las Vegas” at LINQ Hotel for $27.05 and celebrity tribute show “Legends in Concerts” at Flamingo for $35.

Matt Goss’ show at Caesars Palace is another good choice, coming in at $39. The singer’s Sinatra-esque set at the swanky Cleopatra’s Barge is a modern spin on classic Vegas lounge acts.

$40-$60

This is the sweet spot of what I’d say to expect to spend on a typical Vegas show. For this range, you’ll be able to lock in tickets to the most popular and long-running acts in town.

Penn & Teller and Blue Man Group are longtime Travelzoo favorites, at $45 and $52, respectively. You can’t top Penn & Teller when it comes to magic shows, and if you’ve never seen Blue Man Group before, I’d say it’s a unique experience everyone should have at least once.

Another great pick is Vegas favorite Terry Fator, who won “America’s Got Talent” and has since become a big success on The Strip with his celebrity impressions. Tickets for the show start at $48 for Travelzoo members.

$60-$100

Now we’re hitting the range where you can see a Cirque du Soleil show. Right now, we’ve got tickets to“The Beatles LOVE” starting at $75.76 each ($151.51 for a pair) that’ll give you great views of the iconic show. If you are new to Cirque du Soleil, this is a great place to start.

$100+

Almost all shows offer upgraded seating levels in this price range to get you up close to the action, which is always a fun way to see a show.

But my top pick if you’re willing to splurge is the aquatic show “Le Rêve — The Dream” at Wynn Las Vegas. Tickets start at $120 for Travelzoo members, and the show is filled with tons of “wow” moments as entertainers and acrobats make their way through the gorgeous theater-in-the-round.
