To celebrate its 15th anniversary, Secret Bay Resort & Residences—Dominica’s Two Michelin Key, all-villa Relais & Châteaux resort—has unveiled plans for its final residential enclave.
The expansion introduces six new Cliffside Villas, two new wellness spas, and a family pool pavilion near Coconut Beach, bringing the property to its completed vision of 42 private villas spread across 40 acres of rainforest.
1. The New Cliffside Villas & "Kampesh" Design
Designed by resident architect Claude Lauture, the six new Cliffside Villas are set directly into the rainforest canopy above Coconut Beach, offering sweeping views of the Caribbean Sea, Cabrits National Park, and Morne Aux Diables.
The enclave introduces two distinct three-story villa layouts:
- The Kampesh Villa: A brand-new treehouse-style design spanning 3,618 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, accommodating 6 to 10 guests—perfect for families and multigenerational trips.
- The Ti-Fèy+ Villa: An expanded version of the resort's signature villa spanning 2,649 square feet, featuring 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms for 4 to 6 guests.
Each villa is constructed from sustainable Guyanese Greenheart hardwood with handcrafted Dominican Red Cedar furnishings, private plunge pools, and cantilevered outdoor rain showers.
2. Two New Wellness Spas
As part of the 15th-anniversary evolution, Secret Bay is expanding its wellness offerings with two new spa concepts:
- Gommier Spa Extension: Broadening the treetop, three-walled open-air treatment setting of the resort's original spa.
- New Analog Wellness Spa: Introducing a unique Caribbean wellness experience centered on a slower, low-tech, and analog way of being.
3. Solar-Powered Family Pool Pavilion
Located near Coconut Beach at the resort's northern end, a new solar-powered oceanfront pool pavilion is being created specifically for families. The hub will feature separate areas for adults and children, an open-kitchen restaurant, and a bar—offering a dedicated beachfront amenity away from the quiet main lap pool.
4. Real Estate & Ownership Opportunities
Sales for whole and fractional ownership of the Cliffside Villas will open through Sotheby's International Realty, with whole ownership priced from USD $2.95 million. Residences can also participate in the resort’s managed rental program when owners are away.
The Big Picture: Founded by Gregor Nassief 15 years ago, Secret Bay has grown deliberately and slowly across 40 coastal acres. The addition of the Cliffside Villas marks the completion of the master plan, maintaining low-density luxury while preserving the surrounding rainforest and marine environments.
