Everything is Bigger In Texas—United Airlines Unveils Its Largest Club At Houston IAH

United Airlines has fully embraced the "everything is bigger in Texas" mantra. Just in time for the busy holiday travel season, the carrier has officially opened the doors to its brand-new United Club at Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). Located in the revamped Terminal B North concourse, this massive new space isn't just the biggest in United's network—it is officially the largest airline lounge in the Americas.

Clocking in at an enormous 54,000 square feet, the new club, which opened on October 22, 2026, boasts seating for 800 passengers across multiple distinct zones. Whether you need to catch up on work, feed the family, or simply enjoy a pre-flight cocktail, this mega-lounge has been designed to alleviate the stress of peak travel days.

A First Look Inside the Space

The sheer scale of the lounge means it rarely feels crowded. Travelers will find two full-service bars and two separate buffet stations, ensuring wait times for food and beverages are kept to a minimum. For those traveling on business, the club is equipped with 11 private phone booths, high-speed Wi-Fi, and copious power outlets integrated into the seating.

The design of the lounge leans heavily into its host city's unique identity. Visitors will notice a curated collection of artwork from predominantly Texas-based artists, along with subtle nods to Houston’s aerospace legacy. You can even grab a drink at the Space City-inspired "Moonshot Bar" before heading over to the family-friendly area, which features riser-style seating and a vintage Pac-Man machine.

The Star of the Show: The Outdoor Terrace

Perhaps the most exciting feature for aviation enthusiasts is the 1,350-square-foot outdoor terrace. Affording sweeping, unobstructed views of the tarmac and arriving flights, it provides a rare opportunity to step outside, get some fresh air, and planespot before boarding a long flight.

How to Access the New Club

Open daily from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., the lounge follows United's standard access policies. Fliers can enter with a valid United Club membership, a qualifying United rewards credit card (such as the United Club Infinite Card), or an eligible premium-cabin ticket on United or a Star Alliance partner.

This massive addition brings United's total lounge count at IAH up to seven, joining the existing United Club Fly grab-and-go concept and the ultra-premium Polaris Lounge. If your upcoming travels take you through Houston, Terminal B North is now officially a destination in its own right.
