BRING HISTORY TO LIFE
On the heels of the Pope's visit, tomorrow we will celebrate the 47th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem. At the center of the most important battle of the Six-Day War, Ammunition Hill was the turning point for the Battle of Jerusalem.
Jewish National Fund is bringing history to life by assisting in the development and renovation of the Ammunition Hill Memorial site. The restored site portrays the siege of Jerusalem in the '67 War and serves as an educational center of the battles waged there. The renovation creates an emotional and informational experience for all those visiting the site.
• Immerse yourself in the battle as you walk through the trenches.
• Tour the Commemoration-Memorial Hall and pay tribute to the fallen soldiers.
• Enter the Jordanian Bunker and learn the story of the Israeli soldiers and their bravery.
• Visit the Wall of Honor and see those Jewish soldiers who, throughout history, have fought in defense of their countries.
• Dedicate a plaque honoring a Jewish relative, friend or loved one who currently serves, or served in the past, in the military of any country.
The renovations will preserve the relevance of the site for years to come and will bring larger audiences to Ammunition Hill from Israel and abroad.
What better way to celebrate such a momentous day in Israel's history than by ensuring that generations to come have the opportunity to visit, experience and learn about this crucial battle?
