Behind the Awards
The editorial team sent categories to more than 200 travel correspondents globally, then compiled their
suggestions along with the Jetsetter team's. A final committee of senior-level editors sat to debate and narrow
down the list down based on each category's criteria, then compiled a final selection of a winner and two
runner-ups in each category. The Jetsetter Best of the Best hotel awards represent hotels that truly
encapsulate the outstanding experiences members have come to expect from properties on Jetsetter.
Editor in Chief Sean Murphy notes, "All the hotels on Jetsetter have something special about them that makes
them worthy of a Jetsetter recommendation, but often our members are looking for a particular hotel experience
and want to know where to go to get the best of what they want. At our core we are travel-experience curators
and hotel-member matchmakers. The Best of the Best awards are a way for us to help our 20 million members
identify the special within the special of our 2,500 handpicked hotels."
