Delta Air Lines has reorganized its classes. On its international flights what was previously Eco Comfort is now known as Comfort Plus and passengers are provided with a blanket, headphones, an amenity kit and a seat with ten centimeters more space that reclines at a greater angle. Business Elite has now been renamed Delta One, and passengers can enjoy top menus prepared by leading chefs, reports Thomas Brandt, Sales Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland at ITB Berlin 2015.
In Europe the airline made pre-tax profits of 4.5 billion dollars in 2014, the best commercial results in its history, and increased its capacity by five per cent. A new route has just been inaugurated between London-Heathrow and Philadelphia, and this will be followed in April by the introduction of a regular service linking Amsterdam with Salt Lake City. Work has now been completed at the airline’s hub at New York’s Kennedy Airport, extending Terminal 4 with the addition of twelve more gates as well as 60 to 70 kiosks for dealing with automated immigration formalities.
