"Being able to offer our clients more and better network connectivity is one of our most important goals," said Anko van der Werff, Aeromexico Chief Revenue Officer. "This is why we are adding Toronto to our announcement of new routes for 2015, as Canada's economic capital and one of the top financial centers in the country. This new destination increases the exchange of business and tourism for the Mexican economy and the connectivity between Canada and Latin America."
"Toronto Pearson is a growing hub for the movement of people and goods across the country, the continent and around the globe," said Craig Bradbrook, Vice President, Aviation Services, Greater Toronto Airports Authority. "The introduction of this new route from Aeromexico offers more opportunities for passengers to connect beyond Mexico City to other destinations within Mexico and across South America."
The relationship between Aeromexico and WestJet continues to grow with the launch of this new service to Toronto Pearson, one of WestJet's largest hubs. Aeromexico's new service will enhance connectivity to more than 20 Canadian destinations including Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec City.
These increased destinations confirm Aeromexico's effort to strengthen its international presence by offering 28 weekly flights to and from Canada with this new route that includes an offer of more than 3,400 seats per week, in addition to the 16 destinations it serves in the United States of America, 16 in Latin America, three in Europe and two in Asia, thus maintaining its status as the airline that connects Mexico with the world.
