Ethical Traveler, a non-profit organization released this week its annual list of tourism destination countries that are leading to promote human rights, preserve environments and support social welfare, and at the same time maintaining an active community-based tourism industry.
In alphabetical order, the 2015 top 10 are:

3. Dominica
4. Lithuania
5. Mauritius
6. Palau
7. Samoa
8. Tonga
9. Uruguay
10. Vanuatu

Evaluation sources include Freedom House, the Millennium Challenge Corporation, Reporters Without Borders, UNICEF, LGBT resources and the World Bank.
Each "best ethical destination" offers opportunities to check out incredible natural beauty, enjoy great outdoor activities and have interactions with local people and cultures in a meaningful, mutually enriching way, says Ethical Traveler.
Researchers stress that just because these destinations made the list, none scored perfect marks.
