Hilton Sparks Major Expansion of Charging Stations for Electric Vehicles With Plans For 100 U.S. Hotels By End Of 2016

 Hilton Worldwide (NYSE: HLT) today announced a major electric vehicle (EV) charging program, which will be available at 50 U.S. hotels by the end of this year with plans to rapidly expand to 100 U.S. hotels by the end of 2016. The program will cover all types of electric vehicles, including Teslas. Current, powered by GE, will provide stations to charge other car makes.

Airbnb Is Putting Tesla Charging Stations in California Rentals

Vacation rental site Airbnb today announced a partnership with Tesla, and will be bringing charging stations to 30 high-end properties along the West Coast.

Though program is launching in California, though Airbnb spokesperson says that chargers will become available at properties worldwide in the coming years.

This partnership is just latest in a series of high-profile Airbnb collaborations meant to drum up buzz and make the vacation rental experience better for guests and hosts. Recently, the company partnered with Nest to help hosts conserve energy, and withrealtor.com to help users find properties where they’re looking to buy a home.
