Frontier Airlines Expands To South America With New Nonstop Routes From Orlando To Colombia

Frontier Airlines is officially making its first foray into South America. The budget carrier has announced new nonstop routes connecting Orlando International Airport (MCO) to three major cities in Colombia. These highly anticipated flights will officially launch in December 2026.

📅 The Flight Plan: Orlando to Colombia

Here is the breakdown of the new routes:

  • Medellín (MDE): Service begins December 10, 2026, operating daily, with introductory fares starting at $169 one-way.
  • Bogotá (BOG): Service begins December 14, 2026, starting at six times a week and becoming daily by March 2027, with fares from $99 one-way.
  • Cartagena (CTG): Service begins December 19, 2026, operating once a week, with fares starting at $129 one-way.

🌍 Filling the Void

This major expansion comes after Spirit Airlines, which previously had a dominant budget presence in Colombia, collapsed earlier this year. Frontier is stepping up to fill the void, providing a much-needed low-cost option for Central Florida travelers heading to these magnificent destinations.

Travelore Tip: You must book by September 16, 2026, to take advantage of these promotional introductory fares, which are valid for select travel dates between January 14 and April 5, 2027.
