For travelers planning their upcoming international adventures, Delta Air Lines has just unveiled a massive expansion that will make getting across the globe much easier. In a significant boost to its network, the carrier is adding five major nonstop long-haul routes stretching across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, launching later this year and into early 2027.
Whether you're looking to explore new markets or return to familiar favorites, here is everything you need to know about Delta's latest global additions.
Expanding the Atlanta Hub
Delta is reinforcing its main hub at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport with two major wide-body additions, utilizing its flagship Airbus A350-900 aircraft:
- Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: In a historic move, Delta is opening a completely new market by launching nonstop flights to Riyadh starting October 23, 2026. Initially flying daily before moving to a three-times-weekly schedule, Delta will become the first U.S. airline to operate a direct route between the United States and Saudi Arabia.
- Tel Aviv, Israel: Delta is restoring its vital connection between Atlanta and Tel Aviv. Starting December 19, 2026, the airline will operate three weekly flights, resuming a service that was last flown in 2023.
New Gateways to the Asia-Pacific
Delta is making aggressive moves across the Pacific, giving travelers more direct options to some of Asia's most dynamic cities:
- Manila, Philippines (from Los Angeles): Launching on March 28, 2027, Delta will connect Southern California to Manila using an A350-900. This is a massive win for passengers, as Delta will become the only U.S. airline offering a nonstop flight on this route. It will begin with three weekly flights before upgrading to daily service in June 2027.
- Tokyo Narita, Japan (from Seattle): Delta is re-establishing its presence at Tokyo Narita with daily flights from Seattle beginning March 27, 2027, utilizing the Airbus A330-900neo. This restores a route that was paused in 2020 and strengthens Seattle's role as a premier Pacific gateway.
A First for Austin, Texas
Perhaps one of the most exciting announcements for domestic travelers is Delta's first-ever long-haul service out of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport:
- Paris, France (from Austin): Beginning March 27, 2027, Delta will launch daily nonstop flights to Paris Charles de Gaulle using the Airbus A330-900neo. This move solidifies Delta's growing presence in Austin and makes it the only U.S. airline offering a nonstop connection between the Texas capital and Europe.
With these five route additions, Delta Air Lines is clearly signaling its intent to dominate both returning legacy markets and entirely new frontiers.
Which of these new long-haul destinations are you most excited to fly?
