American Airlines Upgrades Inflight Snacks with Biscoff, Goldfish, and Tate’s

American Airlines is overhauling its complimentary Main Cabin snack basket starting this fall. Designed around customer feedback and how passengers snack throughout the day, the new lineup brings premium sweet and savory treats to flights over 250 miles.

What’s on the New Menu?

The refreshed service introduces brand-name staples alongside long-time flyer favorites:

  • Morning Flights: Passengers can kick off early departures with classic Lotus Biscoff cookies (a staple pairing with Lavazza coffee) or opt for savory Goldfish crackers.
  • Afternoon & Evening Flights: Later in the day, the selection expands to include Tate's Bake Shop chocolate chip cookies, Peterson’s savory and sweet snack mix, and Goldfish crackers.
  • Rolling Rotations: The snack roster will continue rotating based on passenger preferences, with additional choices slated to debut in 2027.

Wider Passenger Experience Upgrades

The complimentary snack refresh begins rolling out across select flights in early October. It pairs with a broader wave of passenger-first cabin upgrades currently underway across American’s fleet, including:

  • High-Speed Connectivity: Outfitting over 500 narrowbody aircraft with free high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi starting in 2027.
  • 4K Seatback Screens: Installing 4K seatback displays with Bluetooth audio and USB-C fast charging across narrowbody cabins.
  • Expanded Premium Cabins: Increasing premium seat capacity (First Class and Main Cabin Extra) toward nearly 40% of the narrowbody fleet.
